Position: Full-time, year round, Banquet Conference Setup Houseman

At The Landings Yacht, Golf & Tennis Club you’ll be part of a team where servicing our residents, tenants and guests is our highest priority. The Landings is situated on 250 acres of riverfront splendor and boasts an 18 hole executive golf course, 13 lighted Har-Tru courts, 2 restaurants, competition-sized swimming pool, 18 stocked lakes to fish, landscaped paths plus a private harbor and marina.
The Banquet/Conference Setup Houseman will work with the Director of Food & Beverage to maintain satisfactory customer service to all members, tenants and guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Understands Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and how to complete a set-up
Keep the function rooms, conference areas and storage areas clean and neat at all time
Return all equipment not in use to its proper storage area in a clean condition before the end of each shift
Service/freshen all meeting rooms during breaks. Check temperature and see if all lights are working and adjusted properly
Assists Banquet staff when necessary which may include food running, busing and buffet break down
Helps perform inventories of Banquet equipment and supplies
Eliminate safety hazards
Follow Engineering’s Work Order Program in reporting broken or damaged equipment
High school diploma, college degree or equivalent
Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read and interpret documents and speak effectively in English before members, tenants and guests.
Flexible schedule and available to work weekends/holidays as needed
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Job Type: Full Time status, average of 34+ hours per week year round
