Amicalola Falls State Park & Lodge, located in Dawsonville, GA is one of Georgia's greatest natural treasures!  With a 729 ft. picturesque waterfall and the starting point for those hikers going north on the Appalachian Trail, we offer camping, hiking, food & beverage, lodging, zip lines, adventure park with guided hikes, birds of prey, archery and much, much more.  

We are managed by the Southeast's premiere hospitality management company, Coral Hospitality.

We are looking for a Front Desk Supervisor

Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Rooms Manager, this position supervises the operation of the front desk to maintain the highest productively, employee morale, and guest service as possible at Amicalola Falls State Park & Lodge.

To perform the job successfully, an individual should perform the following essential functions of the position:

  • Responsible for assisting guests with check-in and check-out, plus all special requests for services or information
  • Handles guest registration and room assignments, accommodating special requests whenever possible. Assists in pre-registration and blocking of reservations as necessary
  • Ensures proper staffing at front desk and night audit at all times
  • Reviews VIP and special requests for the upcoming week.
  • Reviews room blocks for the upcoming four business days
  • Reviews and resolves any discrepancies with housekeeping
  • Ensures the hotels credit policies and check acceptance policies are followed
  • Assists in training of new associates and maintains constant training of agents as Guest Service Representatives
  • Ensures all members of the staff are completely familiar with all hotel emergency procedures
  • Works with desk agents to balance at end of shift and ensures completion of shift check list
  • Reviews group cover sheets and event sheets daily to ensure that they are informed of all meetings/groups.
  • Answer the telephone promptly and courteously by saying a pleasant greeting, Front Desk,
  • Handles guest messages, mailing and packages according to procedures
  • Smiles and greet all guests immediately in a gracious and professional manner; handles all guests questions and problems with empowerment guidelines
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area
  • Performs all duties of employees supervised, as needed
