Position: Tennis Shop Attendant

Department: Tennis

At The Landings Yacht, Golf & Tennis Club you’ll be part of a team where servicing our residents, renters and guests is our highest priority.  The Landings is situated on 250 acres of riverfront splendor and boasts an 18 hole executive golf course, 13 lighted Har-Tru courts, 2 restaurants, competition-sized swimming pool, 18 stocked lakes to fish, landscaped paths plus a private harbor and marina.

Job Description:

  • The Tennis Shop Attendant will work with the Director of Tennis to maintain satisfactory customer service to all members, tenant and guests.


  • Assist in all areas of the Tennis Operation such as Opening and Closing the Tennis Shop, manning the counter during business hours, Book lesson classes, daily billing, and all other daily activities
  • Assist in the upkeep of the Tennis Shop by rotating displays and primping the merchandise as necessary and sales promotion and execution
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism. The applicant must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors and guests
  • Point of sale experience
  • Proficiency in work processing, calculator and computer skills.
  • Maintain and track inventory; ordering clothing and merchandise.
  • Process and record invoices and credits
  • Must have strong customer service, social and communication skills.
  • Ability to stay calm in highly stressful situations and be knowledgeable of emergency/safety procedures.


  • High school diploma, college degree or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine correspondence and speak effectively in English before members, tenants and guests.  Ability to perform basic math. Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.  Ability to organize and prioritize assigned projects.

Work Environment:

  • Available to work weekends as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.

Job Type: Full Time

Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
