EXPERIENCE:  Willing to train, prefer Salon receptionist or equivalent experience

SALARY:  $8.50/hr + participation in service charge (adds an additional $1 - $2 per hour)

Must be able to lift 30 lbs, navigate a spiral staircase, follow direction, work a flexible schedule (including weekends & holidays).

Ourideal candidate will be engaged, hands-on, and prepared to operate a "bestin class" resort!    Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa has134 rooms and cabins. We are a full service Resort offering: food & beverage, lodging, championship golf course, upscale spa, stables,catering, conferences, hiking, tennis, recreation and much more!  

Position Overview: Responsible forhelping to service and retain all Spa guests. Must be familiar with and followall policies and procedures of the Spa as well as the rest of the Resort. Must be bright, personable and have the ability to get along with others.Should be highly service oriented, possess exemplary phone skills and be wellorganized; a background in Spa or hospitality is a plus. Should be proficientin the handling of money as well as certain financial documents withconfidential information. Should be able to understand the Resort’s objectivesand have the potential to achieve employee goals.

SPECIFIC DUTIES: (Other duties may be assigned.)

  1. Have complete knowledge of all Spa services, packages, promotions and retail products presently offered by the Spa.

  2. Present a well-groomed, professional appearance. You must be in full uniform while on property or at a work-related event.

  3. Be punctual and prepared for your day. Attend line-up at the beginning of shift.

  4. Participate in all spa activities including staff meetings, educational events, workshops, inventory or promotions.

  5. Greet guests by their proper name.

  6. Perform check-in duties, to include billing for the services.

  7. Reviews guest’s itinerary with the guest.

  8. Notify Therapist of the guest’s arrival.

  9. Give information either in person or over the telephone regarding spa procedures, facilities, timetables, policies or special functions.

  10. Have knowledge of all Spa menu items, packages, group functions and special promotions.

  11. Have knowledge of product ingredients, benefits and application.

  12. Appropriate scheduling either in person or over the phone.

  13. Prepare day’s itinerary.

  14. Prepare day’s consultation packets.

  15. Have working knowledge of all charges and billing procedures.

  16. Keep desk stocked with necessary supplies and work materials.

  17. Sell merchandise in retail area.

  18. Confirm appointments.

  19. Cross reference appointments.

  20. Call late or no-show guests and respond accordingly.

  21. Refer relevant operational information to Supervisor and upcoming shift.

  22. Assist guest as need requires. Always looking for ways to go a step beyond to achieve “WOW.”

  23. Assist spa team as need requires.

  24. Handle cash, credit cards and gift certificates in a professional, confidential and honest manner.
