Housekeeping Inspector - Lake Blackshear Resort

Lake Blackshear Resort has 88 rooms, villas and lake cabins. Classic, minimalist-style on beautiful 8800 acre cypress lake with restaurant, bar, fitness center, conference center, marina with a lake restaurant, 18 hole-golf course designed by Denis Griffiths, hunting preserve, fishing and family/children’s programs. We are managed by the Southeast's premiere hospitality management company, Coral Hospitality.
Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Housekeeping Manager, this position will insure Guest satisfaction by insuring rooms, cabins and common areas are clean and safe. The key measurement of success is the Quality Score received from our guest on a satisfaction survey.
Essential Functions of the Position are:
Inspect all rooms, cabins and common areas to insure cleanliness standards are met. Direct cleaning associates to correct found deficiencies.
Provide first class guest service when there is a request or complaint from a guest. Practice Service Recovery. Ensure that each guest receives prompt and courteous reception and service.
Submit work orders to maintenance to repair damage as needed on rooms and departmental cleaning equipment.
Submits to Management recommendations for painting, repairs, furnishings and carpet cleaning.
Report all safety hazards and perform followup on corrections.
Establish standards and procedures for work of Housekeeping Associates. Train new and existing employees in proper standards and procedures.
In addition to inspection, this person will perform daily cleaning of rooms, cabins, and public areas.
This person will fill in for the Housekeeping Manager or provide assistance as needed. This will include: making room assignments, assisting with corrective action of employees, providing input into performance appraisals, and other overall Supervision in the Department Manager's absence.
Must have a high school diploma or GED
Must have basic computer skill to include: use of internet, email, and Word.
Must have minimum of 2 years housekeeping experience.
Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in supervision or other role where leadership is demonstrated.
