EXPERIENCE:  Attention to detail is required.  This is a physical job involving the moving and set up of tables and chairs in meeting rooms.

Summary:  This position is responsible for set-up and take down of our banquet rooms at Little Ocmulgee State Park by performing the following duties.

Qualifications:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily including the lifting and carrying of tables and chairs in excess of 50 pounds. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Essential Functions:

  • Understands Banquet Event Order (BEO) and how to complete a room set-up as instructed and has the ability to work independently.
  • Sets tables and chairs in assigned rooms (or will check to see if they have been set up) correctly and uniformly using clean pressed linen (without stains or tears), and clean, unspotted glassware. Properly clean and fill table complements (salt and pepper, sugar, etc.) according to the BEO.
  • Maintains the banquet equipment and storage areas for cleanliness and orderliness.
  • Assists the Servers in breaking down buffets or other special food service tables and equipment.
  • Sets up and or breaks down coffee breaks, receptions, other special functions as assigned.
  • Completes all cleaning assignments.
